I am sitting here drinking a smoothie that Doug made for me (lovingly topped with a Double Stuff Oreo to make me feel better) and wanted to write about a few things.
Last night I was reading through part of Isaiah and came across this in Isaiah 40:
"Lift your eyes and look to the Heavens:
Who created all of these?
He who brings out the starry host one by one,
and calls them each by name.
Because of his great power and mighty strength,
not one of them is missing.
Why do you say, O Jacob,
and complain, O Israel,
"My way is hidden from the Lord,
my cause is disreagarded by my God?"
Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
The Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and His understanding no one can fathom.
He gives strength to the weary,
and increases the power of the weak.
Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall.
but those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
They will run and not grow weary,
They will walk and not be faint."
Whether we travel on the 30th or a long time from now the truth still remains. God is God and He loves us. He has chosen Georgia to come into our family and He knows the perfect time for that. It does not mean that the wait will be easy but I does me that He has and will give us the strength to see this through. It will be easy to praise God on the day we get Georgia, like opening a gift but I want to praise God just as much right now.

I have been following someone else and they got their TA call today! That seemed crazy to me. Anyways, keep your chin up! Good news is coming soon!
This is beautifully written, Shannon...and I needed this word from the Lord today, myself..so thank you for posting it! Yes, I too want to praise God just as much right now, as on the day we have our daughter in our arms!! Just as the song says, "I will praise You through this storm, and I will lift my hands; cuz You are who you are, no matter where I am..."
But I do believe that you have some great news coming your way...very SOON! Hang in there.
Blessings and Hugs!! <><

Hey friend hang in there. I know the waiting this weekend is tough but these are the times when God's presence is so sweet. He is walking with you and even carrying you through this.
Deuteronomy 33:12
..."Let the beloved of the LORD rest secure in him,
for he shields him all day long,
and the one the LORD loves rests between his shoulders."
I love the picture of laying my head between God's shoulders and just resting while finding my security in Him and His promises. I pray you find rest and peace tomorrow.
Shannon, No doubt you are a lump of clay right now! Which is PERFECT for God to mold you for the journey ahead. I am so glad you are journalling your raw emotions here, because you will come back and read and be AMAZED that God is giving you specific passages and realizations for specific places in the days ahead.
I don't know when God's timing will come about but someone shared with me as we were waiting and knowing S was sick that
"God is never late. He is always right on time because He works in time eternal."
Love and Hugs and Believing God for Something BIG tomorrow!
