Bags are packed!!!!

...and we head out in a few hours! It still does not seem quite real that we are going on a month-long adventure, but our car sure looks like it! I am about to take down our Christmas tree and save some tinsel to put on our tent...it seems a bit strange but as Ravenna said yesterday, "Mama, being on the beach with just our tent will be almost like where Jesus was born in the stable!" SO longing to get a look at Christmas and God's heart in a different way.
The kids are bouncing with excitement! Parker has told everyone we have seen today "I'm going on a camping adventure in Mexico!!!!' and Georgia pipe up "Ixico!!!!!" and pumps her arms in the air like she has scored a touchdown! Ravenna has her school Christmas party and we are taking off as soon as she is done. Sweet thing could hardly get dressed this morning for all the wiggles. I think she couldn't decide what to be most excited about! All of their enthusiasm is contagious....I just cannot wait for two o'clock (although our house looks like I need a week to get it straight before going!).

We do have a few prayer requests as we head out:

* For safety as we travel. We are hoping to make it over the Siskyou mountains this evening and miss the big storm that is coming up.

* That we would hear and know God's voice and that He would pour out ways for us to serve as we go.

* For health. We do have tons of medicines etc. with us and there are medical facilities around in Baja but we would love to not have to access them! Miss Georgia has been give the green light to go and frolick on the beachs as well!

Our plan so far is to see some of Shannon's family in Santa Barbara on Sunday, and Monday spend the day and maybe night at a school for the deaf in Baja....and that is our only plan until Christmas Eve!!!!!
