Tamped down and over-flowing...

"Give and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap"
Luke 6:38

Tonight at bedtime, I was about to leave Georgia and Parker's room. Georgia peeked through the slats in her bed and said, " 'Mon Mama"...her chubby hands beckoning. I went back over and she pulled my face right up to hers. With her beautiful dark eyes almost crossed since we were so close, she just looked at me for a long time, smiled and then said "go." I kissed her puckered little lips and as I slowly closd the door she whispered, "G'night."
It was the perfect ending to an incredible day. Doug & I had the honor of hosting an AWAA adoption seminar at our church. We got to tell part of our story and what God has done. During the seminar, there is a video by Steven and Mary Beth Chapman talking about their adoptions. At one point in the video Steven talks about how they could have missed all of the joy if they would have stayed in their comfort zone.
Even though I have seen it before, I literally had to choke back big old snotty sobs as I watched it. In the background I could hear the giggles and squeals of my kids playing in the other room. It would have been so possible for two of those voices to not be there, and oh how empty that would have been.
Instead, the seminar ended and Georgia toddled in full tilt with a big, "Mama!!!" while Parker chatted endlessly about his 'Super Duper Robot Hands' and Ravenna pulled on my hand begging to eat the leftover strawberries...and for the rest of the day I have just been struck with the fact that I am blessed beyond belief...it is truly tamped down, running over and pouring into my lap!
It leaves me with this hunger to keep seeking out God's voice, to keep jumping when He says 'Go!' because I don't want to miss even the smallest thing that He has for me...
