Georgia's Great Job!!!!....

For the past 9 months Georgia has been working hard every week. 3 different times during the week she would meet with therapists to get stronger, learn to talk, play games, draw, walk and run!!!!! we are so proud of her and so very thankful for her therapists. She has graduated out of therapy and will start a little bit of preschool in the fall.
Here's a little bit of what she has been up to in Physical Therapy... every time we go into the building Georgia yells, "Carly!" and runs to her therapist. We love Carly!!!!
Reaching up on tiptoes for stickers to make her balance stronger...

Got it!!!!

She spends a good portion of her time in all of this gear to give her muscles an extra work out!

Getting ready to see how far she can jump...

Way to go little girl!!!!

Learning to cross midline, she could not do this at all to begin with...

Look Ma no hands!!!

We love you Carly and cannot wait to stop by just to say 'Hi!'
Thanks for loving our Georgia so much!!!!

For those of you reading please pray for Sweet Isaac who is having his palate surgery tomorrow!

You can read more about him and his amazing family

Georgia is such a sweetie! I love the photo of her in the polka dot dress! And those gigantic shoes just ROCK! (ha!) It is so cool to know how far she has come. How sad that she couldn't do any of those things when she got here! Especially crossing midline! Again I am reminded HOW sick she was! What amazing progress--especially seeing her jump! That takes a lot of gusto! I know I'd want to hover and over-shelter her--when she NEEDS these things to push her to strengthen those muscles! How incredible to know that God has been preparing you 2 to be her parents since the dawn of time and that you are perfect for her! It is incredible to see how she has blossomed in your care and will continue to do so! Thank you for stepping out when you heard that still small voice!! I still remember the first photo you posted of her. It is amazing to think how far she's come in such a short time! Yes, she was beautiful then ... but she is radiant now!
I cannot wait for her to be jumping in another Ruffled Feather dress/skirt! :-)
Blessings!

I did not realize she was having therapy three times a week. It has definately paid off. Ashlyn has speech therapy once a week and we still have a LONG way to go. She has made great progress in the past 5 months (having never talked before January) and only being in therapy for two months.

She gets evaluated again tomorrow to start speech therapy with the school system this coming fall. She loves her Mrs Eileen, but she is with Early Steps and can only be here until Ashlyn turns three. I hope the transition goes well.

It's it great to see how far they've come, knowing all the really hard work it takes to get them there. My youngest spent 6 years in therapy (OT, PT, speech) and now you can't tell he ever had any issues. Way to go Georgia! I love how therapist are able to take seemingly hard things to attain and make them fun and even play.
