I ran into a 1st great Mom today in the hallway of our school. I don't know where she was going 'cuz she was in the 4th/5th grade hallway.
She was carrying the cutest little baby boy...so I asked how old he was. "5 months. He's growing up too fast." She looked at me for a second and then her eyes started welling up as she looked at him then her daughter who is going into 1st grade. Then she burst into tears.
I had her come into my classroom, dug around for some tissues for her. Let her know it was ok.
Her babies are growing up. So are yours. Such a blessing to share life with them, but so heart-wrenching that it goes by so fast.
Awww :) Shannon, I am so terribly behind, I see that you've had surgery...I hate surgeries :( not sure what yours was for...I had an ovary removed last summer, a small mass removed last fall and have had other surgeries..hysterectomy- ouch, kidney stone, etc...and I understand how tough it is to give yourself time to heal AND be Mommy. May the Lord cause your body to heal so quickly and effectively that the medical staff are amazed at Jehovah Rapha! love, Holly

She looks fantastic! What a great first day outfit!!
Hope she has a wonderful day!
Definitely need those Kleenex!!! It's so hard sending your first baby off to school! And it's not exactly easy to send the others off either! :)
Hope she had a great first day!
