Oh the beauty of the Lord and His redemption right when I needed it...to fully understand this story read what I wrote here about Ravenna's struggles with wanting her birthmom.
I have the most amazing husband who does fun, deep amazing devotions with the kids. Tonight he let me go to our women's fellowship and when I got back he said, "I have to tell you something about Ravenna!" Kids got tucked and kissed, pottied and re-tucked and when we finally got as moment to ourselves this is what he said:
Tonight after devotions I asked the kids if they wanted to pray for anything. Ravenna said that she wanted to pray for all of the kids in the world who don't have families. He asked her if she had a family, she grinned, sat up tall and proudly said, "Yes I do!"
Oh you have no idea how I needed this today. God is so good and somehow from the time she shared about her birthmom until after today's brutally hard Hematology appointment some healing has happened. I know there is much more to come but it means so much to this Mama's heart to hear her proudly part of our family too.
