Please pray....

Well, here I am again asking for prayer :)

Our friends really need prayers. Andrew and Lucy are some of our very best friends. We love them like family, our kids are like siblings. Last week Andrew (the dad) started having a cough, they treated him for pnuemonia but Monday he really started to struggle. They went to the hospital and he went into full respiratory failure. He is now in ICU on a ventilator and the doctors have no idea why. He does not have pnuemonia. They just got back 7 weeks ago from Ethiopia from adopting their son so the doctors are testing everything they can think of and are wondering if he picked up something there. It has been 4 days. They need answers, they need to know what is causing this so they can treat  it. We are very scared, we love them deeply. He is a man with a heart of gold who loves God, loves orphans, is a fire fighter and pours his life out for those around him. He and his wife have literally been there for every major thing that has happened in our life in the last few years. They are the shoulder we cry on and the ones who scoop up the kids, bring us food, come and help...have I mentoined that we love them? Can you please pray for them? For answers. For their 3 children. We are watching them a bunch, trading off with Grandma and Auntie trying to keep them  busy and preoccupied (They are 6, 3 and 3). There is a prayer gathering at our church at 6 pm tonight.

Also, I feel selfish even mentioning this in light of all that is going on with our friends but.

Today is a big day for us. We finally have our meeting with Ravenna's Hematologist. They have said that they just don't know what is causing her blood clotting disorder thus cannot treat it, only the symptoms. So far the only thing we have is some powder to sprinkle on small cuts and scrapes to help form a scab....well, that is fine day to day but we need more answers. What if there is an accident? What do we tell an ER team? What if she hits her head? She is possibly prone to internal bleeding...that kind of thing. The good news is it is at the same hospital as Andrew, just one floor down. SO we can go and be with them afterwards.
My mind is in a total fog. We have been waiting for this appointment for months. It is an appointment where we need to be proactive and to ask a lot of questions and I am so worried we will forget something.

We just need more answers than we have in both situations. I know that the Lord has those answers, could you pray?

Oh Shannon ~ I can feel the burden on your heart right now, not just for your closest friends, but also for your daughter. Praying that God provides clear answers to ALL of the grey areas for both families. Sending love and hugs your way, and lifting up these situations before the Throne of Grace.

Off to pray, now...

OXO,
Tanya
