Ravenna's new 'Do' for Locks of Love....

About a year ago Miss Ravenna decided to grow out her hair for Locks of Love....

It was not always easy...

To deal with the tangles...

and Mama putting it into braids and ponytails (to avoid those tangles)....

But she did it!

and I am so proud!

So last week she and I took a trip up to my friend Angie's Salon...

Before...

Yes, blankie had a front row view!

Getting ready!

All clean!

Doing the ponytail...

Marking it off...

Cutting... Cutting...

Gone!

Oh how I love this girl!

Through the whole thing she just radiated JOY!

I am so darned proud of her beautiful giving heart....

My little girlie with her pixie cut came home yesterday to say,

"Mama, I am making jewelry during recess so I can sell it to raise money for orphans...will you help me?"

Absolutely my dear...

Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.

Her hair looks so thick too! The recipient of her locks will be truly blessed! What a beautiful heart Ravenna has to think of others in need time and time again. God truly blessed you both when He pieced and knit your family together perfectly. Hugs, Valerie

My special needs daughter also did this in the 4th grade. Her hair is so thick and course so just imagine how hard it was for her. I was surprised that she wanted to do his cause she has a such a sensitive head, but she did. She is now in the 9th grade and still growing her to give it away again. So proud of her.
